If you're a fan of video games or feeling nostalgic for the classic 16 bit days of gaming then there's no way you should pass this up. Safe to say this is the best beat 'em up I've ever played, and one of the best games period. It's surprisingly addictive and a nice way of varying up the gameplay, and even features returning enemies from the Genesis games. It's basically this game's version of "Bloody Palace" from the Devil May Cry games. There's also a survival mode that comes with the DLC, where you pick a character and try to survive as long as possible in randomly generated arenas. The game is packed with replay value and the more you play, the better you can feel yourself getting, as you try to master each character and chase those ever elusive S-ranks.
You have Axel, the well-rounded one, Cherry, the speedy one, Floyd, the tank, and many more. Each character plays very differently and requires different tactics to play well.

Not a moment goes by when you aren't kicking, punching, throwing, or headbutting someone while some kick-ass dance music plays. Streets of Rage 4 is developed by DotEmu, Guard Crush Games, Sega, and Lizardcube. The music, art style, gameplay, everything is super enjoyable. Then I was suddenly in the mood for a beat 'em up and decided to pick this up.įrom the moment I booted this game up I knew I was in for something special. I played a little bit of SOR2 afterwards, but pretty much didn't touch the series for another twenty years. I hadn't played a Streets of Rage game since the first one in the early 90's. Just finished wrapping up all achievements for this and man, what a game.
